where did this notion war in general is good for capitalism come from ???

its at best a mixed bag even looked at non causally
but simply as "what follows what "

the Great war precipitated the convulsive imbalances of the inter war years

the end of the post 1789-1815 period of intermittant    wars
hardly produced a great stabilization and surge of  global development

the near global pax amerikana post 1945 and the now legendary
following 30 years of effective global capitalist development
proves nothing about the second world war that preceeded it other then amerika emerged all powrful
and yes that 30 year interval proves alot about the far better yankee  performance
as global hegemon
then the ex hegemon  brits post great war legacy
